Ballina cruise to Victory

Team Merry Monk Ballina dominated in a thrilling game at the Ballina Sports Complex, winning 88-46 against Kilorglin of county Kerry in the national un20 league. The local team amazed fans by making 15 three-pointers, while the visitors only managed six. With a huge point difference of 42, Merry Monk Ballina clearly showed their superiority on the court.

From the start, Team Merry Monk took control, leading the first period 21-9, with Connor Burke scoring nine points. In the second period, they continued to increase their lead, ending the half at 43-21 thanks to Mark Cunningham's excellent performance.

Both Dave Marrey and Brian Donoghue were very impressive under the boards and amassed a large amount of rebounds and blocked shots.

The third period was a basketball clinic, as Ballina went on a 13-0 run, pushing their lead to 67-30. Mark Cunningham shone again with nine points. In the final period, Theo Daly stood out by scoring 11 points, helping the team finish with an impressive 88-46 victory.

Despite Conor Buckley's strong effort for Killorglin, it was team Merry Monks unstoppable offense and teamwork that led to a memorable win in Ballina. Next up for Ballina un20s is a trip to Athlone on Jan 5.
